Gene, I completed replacement of the hinges--it was quite easy with your guidance and it solved my problem. The oven door now closes securely.

For those who may wish to try this also, I probably did not need to order the pins as they came with the hinges but I certainly didn't need to order 2 sets. A small price to pay for an oven door that works!
Thanks again.
JP

Replacing the door hinges could solve the problem and could not. If you would like to try, these parts are not too difficult to replace yourself.

Remove the door from the oven as described in the "Use and Care manual" (page 13). The part number for the door removal pins is AP3066060

Place the door on a flat surface with the door handle facing down and remove the screws holding the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel.

- The part number for the door hinge assembly (both door hinges are identical) is AP3080711

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven Model RBS305PDQ4

Thank you, Gene. I assume that the hinges and springs are the problem. Are these difficult to replace? Where can I find a diagram?

If you think this is too tricky for average homeowner, please let me know and I will call repair person.

This is very hard to diagnose problem due to many different parts involved. The best thing is to call a Whirlpool authorized technician.

I have Whirlpool Oven RBS305PDQ4 and the oven door will not stay closed during baking/broiling. What parts do I need to fix this? How do I access parts to replace them?
