This is the evaporator fan and they are absolutely different. - The part number for the evaporator fan motor is AP3845420 Gene.

It has come to my attention that I may have misspoken about the part that I need. The fan is the one on the freezer compartment that blows air across the cooling grate. Is this the condenser or the evaporator fan? I am not sure if it changes the outcome?

The part number is different than the one on Sears website. Is this part also compatible with my fridge? The part number on the fan is 241537301.

If there is 120VAC to the motor and it's not running properly then the problem is a bad motor. No doubts about it. - The part number for the condenser fan motor is AP3855280 Gene.

I have a Kenmore fridge that is about 3 years old. It has broken twice in 3 years now and I assume that it was the same problem both times. (first time was under warranty so I did not know what was fixed) The fridge stopped cooling first then the freezer stopped the next day. The compressor runs and the coils get very cold but the condenser fan is not running. I checked the voltage to it and it is getting a constant 120v. When I connect it to the fridge it starts to run and then stops after about 5-10 revolutions. I checked the continuity and the volt meter is showing infinite Ohms. Does this mean that the fan is bad? Why does it start to turn if the motor is bad? How can I tell if this is the only problem? Is this the problem? Thanks in advance!
