I can see what do you mean. It never happened to me. The manufacturer has redesigned this pump without changing the part number and I could not find any instructions.
I believe you can just drill one or two new holes in the base to mount the pump.

Mine completely went because of a nickel getting stuck in it, I ordered the new part and when I went to install it the mounting was different on this one then the one I removed from my washer. (screw holes are in different spots) I called and it is the correct part for the model washer and no one can seem to tell me why its different. How do I mount the new pump?
Thanks in advance Can you post the pictures of the old and the new pumps? Gene.

I'm not looking to replace the pump yet, I cleared out the blockage in the drain tube but I can't find the reset button on the pump.
This fixed the problem last time, but it was my landlord who managed the fix. I'm trying not to bug him yet so if anyone has photos or technical drawings of the pump button location that would help incredibly.
Thanks! There are no reset buttons. Check the pump motor for continuity and if there is no continuity, replace the drain pump. Gene.

Remove the pump and take it apart. Check for a foreign objects inside. If there is nothing wrong, replace the pump. - The drain pump Part number: AP4044331
