I assumeit drains ok, if not check out the pump and drain hoses.

You need to observe the spin cycle in action. Take off the front panel and put the machine in spin mode. If the motor and belt are turning but the transmission is not, unplug the machine and try to turn the transmission pulley by hand. If it will not turn the transmission/brake is probably bad and will have to be replace.

If the motor will not turn, take off the connection and clean it thoroughly with contact cleaner. If that does not fix it, check the wiring for a break or a short.

my washer will run through the wash cycle until it hits the rinse part and then it stops. i bypassed the lid switch and no change. what else couldc the culprit be?
