Check the belt, and if it is ok, use this service manual to check the electrical components, particularly the timer and speed control board

Have recently acquired this washer. The timer will advance but the tub does not move in any cycle. It acts like it tries to but just moves a little and stops. I can move it freely but it want move on it's own.:confused:
