Frigidaire Front Load washer (25 yrs old) fills completely but does not spin for the wash cycle. Manual timer clicks and buzzes but drum does not spin nor does the timer advance.

Model # 417.39022890. Door lock light is on. Turning the timer dial by hand “one click” advances the washer to completely drain, rinse, refill and spin fast completing the cycle; but the washer never “washes”.

The belt and the door latch/lock are good because it spins fast counter-clockwise. It just doesn’t “slow” spin for the wash cycle either in clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. Drain hose is not obstructed. Fill hose has plenty of pressure. Drum freely spins by hand both CW and CCW.

Getting ready to take it all apart but not sure what to test. Ohms at the motor?? Clutch?? Wire connections?? Timer??
