I know you're long gone - Just saw the post.
If you pull the tranny out, clean outside & hold up to light/sunlight while on its side. You can see through plastic case. Should be 1/3 full of clean oil - not soapy oil or milkshake. I have drilled a hole in a recessed location, changed/refilled oil, & sealed with a stainless steel sheet metal screw.

is there any way to ck oil level in transmission on fav6800. i'm doing a outer tub rebuild and noticed a little oil seeping from seal while trans is sitting on floor{waiting on parts} oil looks ok but haven't seen anyone on here replace trans seal. trans turns smooth with slight resistance and seemed to be working fine. i just like to check things out before i put it all back together....thanks. and thanks for all the posts on outer tub rebuild!!
