I would say that both will work.
One is from Whirlpool and the other direct from a timer manufacturer hence the price difference.

I would get the cheaper unit.

I have a Amana washing machine. The timer is shot. When looking for a new timer for this machine on this site it shows two timers are available. One costs $120 and the other costs $55. Will they both work. I hate to buy the more expensive one if the cheaper one will work the same. In the pictures they look exactly the same.
