I did takeout the shaft andhitthe centerpart whilesomeone else waspullin on the drum after it soaked overnight with w4o. I do need to take the drum out because the old style filter causes me to have alot of lint and want to replace it with the new style plugs. In order to do this I need to remove the drum. I am just about rocket out since that doesn't seem to work. Any other suggestions?

I do not advise striking down on the agitator shaft. That shaft sits on top of a metal disk with a ball bearing under it inside the gearcase which could be damaged. The best method is to grab one side of the tub with both hands and really rock it up and down like your trying to break it to work it loose. The tub, drive block and spin tube have corroded together. Sometimes they just won't come apart without cutting. If you have to resort to banging on the drive block, I would advise removing the gearcase first which will also remove the agitator shaft.

As I mantioned before I rocked the drum, someone lifted the drum while I hit the shaft no movement.

Hi.

Rock the basket side to side real hard to break off the scam.

Worked for me.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Agitator, Basket and Tub parts for Whirlpool LSR7233EZ0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

I have removed the agitator and the spanner nut shaken pulled , pushed and hit the center post with a rubber mallet but still the drum will not lift up. Also, I have put W40 however no result. Anybody can give me some suggestions?
