the Kenmore number is 110 followed by 8 digits, so you are missing one.

If the post is broken you are going to have to replace the whole part. You may have the wrong part because of the problem with the model number.

Thanks for your prompt reply. The full Kenmore number is 1104030090. There is a Type 111 in addition. The knob selects the washing mode and is located at the extreme right (facing the machine). The knob screws on and has a (male) cogwheel stem. The stem is broken. I am unable to find any other details but could send a photograph of the model number and the broken stem/knob.

Thanks!

Huba

You are missing one number on your model number. Post it and tell us exactly which knob and part is broken

Thanks

The right control knob is broken and the underlying screw stem is visible. I cannot find this washer, nor the replacement part #261103362628 which Sears sent. The replacement does not seem identical to the original. Also, the method of replacement was not given.

Thanks,

Huba Nagy
