Which control board was replaced and is it the relay on the main control or the interface board that was clicking? It may be possible that there is an electrical short causing this failure.

have a GE GSH25JStASS Two days ago my son tried to get ice and auger was not moving. I hit the button to change from crushed ice to cubed and when I did the display panel went blank. I unplugged the unit to reset it and when I plugged it back in I am getting a constant clicking, about once per second, from the control board. It appears to be the large L shaped relay. The compressor and fans do not start up. IT looks like the system is resetting every second with each click of the relay. The voltage on the DC line will drop from about 13.5v to around 8v when the relay clicks and then it bounces back up again for a fraction of a second. I am getting voltage to the control panel. There have been a few time over the past few days when I can plug it in and it is not clicking. When I press a button on the control panel it will light up for a second and then the relay will click and the control panel goes dark again. The was also one time when I plugged it up and I could see the fan on the condenser motor would turn about 1/8th inch with each click. One other time I unplugged the condenser fan and plugged it in. The compressor came on and it started to cool. As soon as I unplugged it and restated it, it was back to the no display and constant clicking. When the relay clicks lights inside the fridge dim and come back on once per second. The control board physically looks good with not burn marks or bulging caps.

I suspected a control board so I bought one off ebay and it arrived today. I installed it and the fridge does nothing. No light no noise or anything. With this replacement board I am also showing no dc voltage going to the control board.

A new board for this fridge is over $300. I like this fridge and have no desire to upgrade but I do not want to be $500 deep into parts on a unit this old only to have the compressor fail one day soon. Do you think that a bad relay will cause the system to cycle every second or do you think something else might be wrong here. I would appreciate any guidance you might have.
