9 months ago I had the icemaker replaced on this 5 year old unit. It worked until a month ago and started freezing again. No issues with the water from the door. I just had both solenoids, another new icemaker, and the filtration housing replaced. Got one tray of ice and the spout is frozen again.
I have now spent $1,125 on repairs/service calls on the frig that cost $1300 NEW. Forums with other technicians suggest that the door needs to be replaced - whirlpool wants $1200 for the door - Today the new frig is still $1300. I'm not buying a door - or anything from Whirlpool again. If Whirlpool has re-engineered that door then isn't that an admission that they are aware of the defect? If they haven't re-engineered it then clearly the problem will still exist.

If there is a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT I want to join it - please identify any you are aware of. Or hope to get feedback from others having same issues and contact "CLASSACTION.ORG to get one started. My technician says there are hundreds if not thousands of disgruntled owners of this product.
Thanks,
Pam - Texas
