If the coils were not iced up, it is not a defrost problem.
Does sound like your temperature control is shot.

i disconnected the defrost switch and connected the 2 wires together and still no power too anything.seems like it is the electronic temp gauge that is the trouble. need some input.

only the light works inside. controls don't light and compressor doesn't start. fan don't start.
