You will need to remove the freezer back panel.

With where is is, how do I get to it to replace it? Do I have to tilt the whole thing back to get underneath?

Check the fan blade for unbalance and also see if the screws are loose causing the problem.
If the motor bearings are bad, I would use a SM999 motor, less than half price and more reliable.

The compressor fan motor started getting louder, like a vibration sound, and is getting worse. Now it's like the blade is touching something and is VERY loud. At first I thought it was the compressor, but the fan motor vibrates when I touch it.

I've found the fan motor on the website and it's almost $100. I don't mind paying that for it, but I want to know how hard it is to replace. It's hard to reach under the door and I suspect that I'll have to tilt it back.

Any insights or suggestions?
