I was about to buy an ignitor fro Parts Pros but still am confused about one thing.
First I'm 750 miles from the oven that's not lighting and I have not tested the ohms on the questionable ignitor. Second what I do know is; if I bang on the gas valve it will lite, would this not indicate that maybe the gas safety valve or the bi metal is bad? I have checked the ignitor connections, how would banging on the valve help the ignitor fire?
Any suggestions will help.

Thank You
