It looks to me like the same part failure.

The last time I had problems the oven would beep and the unit would stop cooking. We would have to shut it down at the circuit box and reset it numerous times to get it to go back on again. Also, on some occasions we would get an F-24 error code.

What was the problem at that time?

Sounds like this part failed again.

Normally any part should last much longer but...

I replaced part number AP3851310 which I believe is the display but seems to also be referred to as a control board, about a year and a half ago. Is this the part you suggest I replace. Also do they normally go bad this often? Thanks for your help

Hi.

Most likely the problem is with the display board.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Thermador C271U BUILT-IN OVENS | AppliancePartsPros.com

Simon.

PS. You can always return the part even if it's been installed.

Sometime when cooking the oven randomly will shut off. Usually after 15 minutes or more. The display panel remains on but the cooking mode shuts down. This happens most frequently when we open the oven to check on the item cooking than close the door.

Would appreciate any ides.
