Was able to read continuity. It reads 1100. I understand the reading should be 1180 - 1190. Does that mean this sensor is bad?

Have the sensor out of the lower oven. Cannot find a place to read continuity. The two wires are insulated. The connector holes are to small to put the probes in. The only two things I can think of is 1. rub away the wire insulation. 2. put wires on the connector holes and measure resistance from them. What do you think?

Hi Paul,

This is Mandie with AppliancePartsPros.com. If both elements are out the first thing I would suggest to check is your temperature sensor, part AP6015486, Whirlpool WPW10131825 Oven Sensor - AppliancePartsPros.com. If that tests okay, you may have an issue with your main control board, part AP6021414 Whirlpool WPW10438751 Electronic Control Board - AppliancePartsPros.com. Also, check wiring and connections from the board to the oven, for any loose or burn out wires. I hope this helps, if you need anything else, please let us know.

If you have any questions, please reply to this email or call us at the number below.

Sincerely,
Mandie
