If the oven shows that it is ready then it may be an oven sensor problem.
Below is a link on how to check it, look at 7, 8, 20 and 21.

If OK check that the wiring to the elements is OK.

Since you said that the broil element works and I am assuming so do the stove top elements your power is OK.

If everything above checks out then I would replace the control board (item 12 in section 02).

I unplugged the unit for about a hour no help .checked element it is ok. what should I try next?

First thing to try is unplug it or remove power from it for a couple minutes to see if it will reset.

Also more info on what is happening would be helpful.

When in bake and preheat the unit switches back and forth between the bake and broil elements so it could be that it is just a bad bake element.

My oven stop working yesterday it will not heat up. A couple of times the broil as but the control was set in bake . it will not do the self clean.What should I try?
