The whole procedure is described in the attached mini-manual.

in the previous reply, I was told the doors had to be in the unlocked position -now you are saying to put in the locked position and that it will be unlocked after we put the door on the oven? But, I am sure it was supposed to be unlocked to take the door off -

Hi.

Replace the hinges, install the door and open it to unlock the hinge.

hi, so we have now gotten 2 new hinges from Ge. The one that I have opened looks like this picture - Is this the open or closed position? What I think must be the lock, does not want to move in any other position. So, is this the correct open position to put in the door. Will the lock be movable after it is in the door? PLEASE help! We have been without an oven for several weeks.

Hi.

Before installing the door back both hinges must be unlocked and fixed in unlocked position. If one of them is damaged - replace the hinge Part number: WB10T10007
Part number: WB10T10007

Thank you.

We had a broken inner glass window and got the part to replace. When a certain person pulled the door off, I am not sure that he undid one of the hinges. When we took the door apart one hinge looked like it was pushed in and it was at a different height than the other one. I do not understand the lock mechanism or what the hinge should like like in the door when it is ready to be attached to the oven. Someone put the door back together and tried to put it on the oven. The door will go into place, but doesn't seem able to catch - will only open partially, not all the way down, I can do the oven door lock - but, as I said the door will just fall off and only opens partially when in place.
I don't know what the latch should look like when it is in the proper position in the door to be reattached.
Can someone PLEASE help - I am ready to go buy a new oven, over something that wasn't broken in the first place. Repair places want at least $250 for this repair (will not tell the price, until they see the problem).
