I have a GE Spacesaver XL Microwave that mounts up over my stove. This microwave was in my home when I purchased the home about 5 years ago. My issue is, the first year the two lights under the microwave worked fine. Then they burned out. I replaced them, and ever since, I have had to replace them on a continuing basis almost every month. The microwave came with the 40W bulbs, so I've tried replacing them with 40W as well as the 25W. Doesn't seem to make a difference, they still burn out about once a month. In as these bulbs run between $3 and $5, at this rate, I could have replaced the microwave by now. Anyone have any idea why this microwave is going through light bulbs like this?
