Thank you for the link in your second email Eddie it explained a lot. The only thing I have not been able to get help with is the PVC pipe above my front door (don't ask) has a continuous stream of water when the AC shuts off and then just drips continuously when the AC is running. The drip pan upstairs is not full but the constant drip is loud; especially at night. This has been going on for 4 or five days now.

Hi, How Old is the unit. reasons for the coil to ice up. 1) CFM in your motor has drop. 2) You may have a low refrigerant charge.

Is there not one out of 14 people who have viewed by posting that can offer any response. I thought I was dealing with the Pros, c'mon!

My AC units drip pan is draining out the PVC pipe that stickes out above my front door and the coils inside the unit are freezing up. When the AC is on (78 most of the time) no problem but the second you turn it off the dripping is endless. We elevated the back of the square pan to assist in the drainage because the hole through which is drains is higher than the water. This has never happened before and I want it to stop. Freon is full.
