Maybe something is binding. The drum must turn effortlessly. Bad drum glides(red arrows) make weird noises sorta like bad rear brake shoes on a garbage truck or bus; the plastic slides and the bearing itself will wear out and the drum will hit the dryer door housing and eat down into it. Seen it. ![UserPostedImage](http://sites.google.com/site/sublimeappliancerepair/_/rsrc/1253676978516/washer-will-not-spin/agitator-woes/dryer-will-not-work/how-do-i-get-inside-my-dryer/gas-dryer-quits-heating/more-gas-dryer-enlightenment/gallery-of-dryer-parts-locations-and-diagrams/frigidaire-gibson-kelvanator-dryer-101/kenmore-whirlpool-englis-roper-dryer-notes/ge-dryer-repair/bad%20drum%20glide.jpg) Old style drum glide. Note: Makes a scrubbing metal to metal noise when the plastic has disentergrated.
