Hi,

Does it not shut off on any of the cycles?
Do you have a timed cycle along with the automatic?

If the dryer does not shut off on a timed cycle then the timer is at fault and needs to be replaced.

If it does not shut off on a automatic cycle then your looking at something other then the timer being the problem.

The unit starts, heats, and operates fine but does not shut off when the clothes are dry. I am guessing it to be either the timer unit or humidity sensor that is malfunctioning and was wondering whether any advice was available as to how to diagnose or locate this problem.

The age of the unit precludes any expensive repairs but I hate to throw away an otherwise perfect machine if a reasonable cost DIY fix is possible.

Many thanks...Mike
