I would replace the coils on the gas valve. om

I would check the dryer vent. Make sure it's not kinked or plugged up with lint.
Next check the inside of the dryer. Check around the lint screen and the blower wheel.

If you are sure the dryer vent is ok and the dryer if free of lint I would then take a look at the gas coils.

The dryer heats up and runs but the flame only lasts about 5 secs. What is wrong?
