Any grease would not make it worse.

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE dryer Model DDE5100RALWW

Hello,

I have a GE electric dryer making a high pitch screeching sounds. Right now, it is getting worse and almost intoleratable. I recently bought 3 things from a local appliance parts store. They are Rear Bearing Drum, Pulley Idler, and Belt Drive. I noticed the Rear Bearing Drum and Pulley Idler are made of plastic. Those 2 parts go on metal parts of the dryer. When I removed the old parts, there are some of kind of lubrication on them. Is it highly recommended to apply some form of silicon grease or machine oil on Bearing Drum and Pulley Idler? Please advise...

Thank you,
Windsurfer
