It sounds like your dryer motor (shown below) is over heating and shutting off on the theral protector installed inside the motor itself ... It usualy comes back on after the motor cools and resets the thermal protector ... this is a sure indecation that your motor needs to be replaced

Dryer will not spin. It would run and then stop. If you would wait 1/2 to an hour it would start again. It does not run at all now. Is this a belt issue or a component? Maytag Neptune Model # MDE3000ayw
