I've determined its not the timer. I tried a couple of items last night, there's no heat. So apparently something broke towards the end of the cycle where it ran all night because the clothes were dry. I'm not going to do any further troubleshooting; considering the age of the unit I've purchased a new dryer.

Anyone? It doesn't look like this model has a moisture control bar, so I'm still leaning towards the timer.....

I have a Maytag Model LDG8424AAE dryer. Put a batch of clothes on last night, it dried the clothes but did not turn off. It looks like the timer did not move; the dryer did turn off when I opened the door. I'm assuming I need to replace the timer?
