I got the new Impeller Assy installed and it works fine. THANKS
P.S. The only thing I had a problem with was the size of writing on the instructions. Very, very small. I'm not 20 anymore. Thank you again:)

Unscrew the chopper, holding the motor shaft with a pliers.
Unscrew the plastic ring (CW).
Unscrew the impeller, holding the motor shaft with a pliers.
Remove the screws holding the pump to the motor and pull the pump out.

I will order now. It's just I have everything apart and it's driving me nuts not being able to take the impeller off the motor.

As I said it comes with the complete instructions.

How do you get the impeller off?

Hi Tim, GE does not sell the pump separate. It comes as an assembly (pump & motor). The impeller repair kit comes with the complete installation instructions and if the old motor is not damaged - you probably do not need the whole assembly. - The part number for the impeller repair kit is AP631386 - The part number for the pump & motor assembly is AP3192237 Gene.

My dishwasher is make a very loud noise when it starts the wash cycle. Water comes out of the arm but not enough to wash anything. I have taken the motor with pump off and cleaned everything from inside the dishwasher to the pump. I believe the pump is bad but I'm not sure. I see where there is a impeller repair kit but I don't see how to take it apart. Can this be replaced with a new pump? And how do you get the old pump off?
Waiting with alot of dirty dishes:)
