I managed to find a service manual that illustrates how these dishwashers are made easier to work on; essentially it involves unscrewing bolts from inside the machine, and then tilting the ‘tub’ towards the front. This will open up some space to work. The tub needs to be propped up some how.
The drain hose then simply unclips with ease.

Hi. I have an asko D5894. I've successfully performed two previous repairs, however this one has me stumped. The drain hose had cracked badly in one section and was leaking, so I'm attempting to replace the whole thing. However, I simply cannot gain access to the connection point where the hose meets the drain pump. I've removed the front plate, main electrical distribution box and also the drain pump. It's as close as I can get. I should note for non-Asko people - no, the base does not remove on these machines. It might be the only way to do what I require, at which point I'd love some knowledgeable guidance. Thanks in advance for your help. — imageimageimage
