Hello, The flashing red light is probably indicating that the door switch is not reading the door is shut. Pull the unit out a bit and hold a magnet over the left screw of the door switch. If the unit starts to run the door switch is ok and just needs adjusting. I remember having to place some washers under the screws to get these to align.

I replaced my builder grade dishwasher with a one year old Bosch SHP878ZD5N which I purchased from a friend. It worked perfectly but the wife wanted all the appliances to match so the dishwasher was sold. I have two issues. The display goes out when the door is latched. There’s a flashing red light at the bottom right of the door. What’s up?
