I assumed when I couldnt open the door that lock was for the door itself. so it is very possible there is no issue with the controls.

but the door certainly is stuck....

I have checked the manual and didnt see anything about a stuck door.

Here is a manual I found which may help
http://appliancejunk.com/ge/dishwasher/31-9137.pdf

Hopefully it will help.

As far as I know the lock is just for the controls and does not lock the door shut so you may have 2 problems.

Note I could be wrong about this.

I have a 1 year old GE dishwasher. I dont the model number in front of me but it is one of the lower end profiles with what appears to be an electronic locking door. It has the autolock button on the heated dry button.

It appears it aborted in the middle of a cycle and now I cant open the door. I tried a few things including cycling the circuit breaker but I cant open the door.

Any ideas?
