If the motor does not run but makes a humming noise then the pump got stuck.

You have two options: try to rebuild the old pump or to replace the whole pump and motor assembly.

In order to fix the dishwasher it has to be removed from the cabinet.
The pump and motor assembly has to be removed from the dishwasher in both scenarios.
The impeller and seal kit (to rebuild the old pump) and the new pump and motor assembly are coming with the complete installation instructions.

- The part number for the pump and motor assembly AP2616850

- The part number for the impeller and seal kit AP631386

Unit does not appear to pump water. Contol knob when turned appears (i.e. the sounds that come from the dishwasher) to be activating other functions. Heating coil warms. I have checked the float. Do I need to replace teh water pump and motor? Is this a very difficult repair?
