I was just given a used Whirlpool washer. It works great but it leaks a lot of water from the bottom front. What could this be. Could it be an easy and cheap fix?

This can be a very easy and inexpensive repair, as the likely problem is a leaking pump.

and here is a great video that will show you how to take off the cabinet to get to it. Really, it is very simple, and once you take off the cabinet you can see if the problem is the pump. Just be prepared for some water to gush out when you take the old pump off. If the leak has been there for some time the old pump may be rusted on to the motor shaft, but it will come off.
