Default Kenmore washer
Model Number: 82873120   Brand: Kenmore   Age: More than 10 years

My Kenmore washer will fill, but not agitate or spin. It will drain, if I put it to that part of the cycle. It just makes a noise once the tub fills. It's pretty old. Do you think its worth fixing or time to buy a new one?

Does the motor run after the washer filled up? If it does then the problem is a broken motor coupling. This part is not expensive and is not too difficult to replace yourself - just follow these complete instructions.

- The part number for the motor coupling is AP3963893
