Default washer does not advance in cylce durring rinse cycle
Model Number: se1000   Brand: Maytag   Age: More than 10 years

Hello,
I have a Maytag Washer Dryer stacked unit, SE1000. The washer gets stuck on the rinse cycle at "2", and does not advance. I can manually select a lesser time when it's stuck and get it to advance to the spin cycle. I thought replacing the circuit board with the timer built in (I'm pretty sure it is built in as I can find no other timer in the unit), but this did not fix the washer. Is there something else I should be fixing?
Thank you,
Jasollitto

Hi Jasollitto,

This is kind of problem I never seen before with this model (especially if you already replaced the control board). Maybe somebody else on the forum can help you better.

Gene.

Thumbs up I figured it out

it was the mixing valve solenoid, the cold water part of the valve would not open, so the tub could not fill during the rinse cycle, and that prevented it from advancing.
