Have a front load washer with the common problem of no spin cycle, have been told that it is a control board issue. The question is, how to determine which control board it is, the main or the motor control board. Is there a simple way to determine this? ( other than replacing one than the other)All other functions of the machine work fine.

There should be a service sheet tucked in under the washer, just look for it, it will give a diagnostic for this.

Open the back panel of the washer and the diagnostics form is taped to the side panel. If you figure out the problem and call the company with the diagnostic code AND push a little, they will send you a replacement part free of charge - apparently this is a very common problem...I'm fixing mine this afternoon.
