My washing machine recently quit agitating. It does spin out fine. It seems like it is trying to because it does make some sound but is not functioning properly. Any ideas?

Ok, pull off the agitator (this may be difficult and it may let go all of a sudden so be careful) and check the agitator block, this part here. Hopefully this will fix things cheaply.
