MJM,

It was recommended by all manufacturer to clean washers on regular basis. You can use regular white vinegar - one gallon per tub full of hot water, run through a complete cycle. Do it once a month.

I'm using for my washer the cleaning stuff called Washer Magic. It works for me very good.

For your future references here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSR8233EQ0

i have taken it apart five or 6 times,in past 2 yrs..I was wondering if this kind of dirty condition is common, and how to clean it more easily..ihave to remove entire shell, pull off upper basket ring to get my hands down in liner to scrub off the crud.it seems to just crud up in that laast 1/3 of the liner tub..any other ideas on how to go about it easier, especially since I have to do it so frequenthly...thanks

The problem you're having has nothing to do with the washer. This is a chemical problem, not a mechanical.

Try to use a different detergent and decrease amount of it. Do the regular chemical (vinegar or Washer Magic) cleaning and I believe, you'll see improvement.

To add my 2 cents, I notice and get complaints frequently on this issue, most the complaints come from people that do not use bleach frequently.

I have a client that sells Smelly Washer Cleaner. It is a powder that you put in the machine that cleans the washer. He gets rave reviews. You might check it out.
