Cool Vacuum Break Replace
Model Number: kawe760wwh3   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: More than 10 years

I am replacing the "vacuum break" on this washer, part no. AP3096264. It became loose and was flopping around at the top of the tub. I found that the tabs that mount in the back cover were broken off. It appears to be a little difficult to install. It appears that it has to be mounted on the back cover, then the back cover re-installed. However the space between the top of the tub abd the washer top is limited and it seems like a good way to break the new part if not done right. Is there an easy way to lift the top in order to do this or some other trick ti the installation?
