my washer makes the most awful noise when it hits the spin cycle, and will not spin. it turns counter clockwise with effort, but that is all. thanks. ken

If your washer is less than a year old it should be under the manufacturer warranty and you have to call Whirlpool for service. Attempt to repair by yourself would void the manufacturer warranty.

i made a mistake. the washer is 5 weeks past the warranty. ken
