Good Day,

My Kenmore 90 series washer appears to be operating normally, except it does not agitate or spin. It does drain, and I can hear the motor running. If I apply moderate downward pressure on the agitator during the wash cycle I can get it to move, but it is weak and easily stopped by simply gripping the agitator. There is also a weak squeeking sound when there should be movement. At first I thought it was the drive block. I have had to replace that before, but there was no thunking noise prior to failure like there was last time, and the basket has not dropped, and is not loose at all. Then I suspected the isolation/motor couplings, but while the are showing some wear, they are intact and operational. Could it be the gearbox? Or perhaps something else?

Thanks in advance.
