Hello,

I was trouble shooting a leak in my washing machine and have found the extremely obvious culprit. "Part #3357328 - Hose, Vacuum Break". When I removed it, it had entire sections missing in one large area and chips broken out of others.

It looks as if mice had been eating on it yet I have never had a problem with mice and no mice droppings were present, in addition all of the black pieces are down on the ground beneath the machine from what I can tell and none seem to be missing.

The plastic was still very supple and did not damage as I removed it from the nipples, I do not believe the plastic itself was the problem either.

Is this hose pressurized? What are common reasons for this piece failing?

Thank you,
Tony
