I need help!! The motor in my washing machine recently went out. I ordered a new motor using part number AP4037997 (306055). This was the part number that matched the model number of my washer. But there is one problem...The new motor does not fit into the base/housing unit from the old motor. The housing unit has holes for 4 screws, and the new motor only has 2 holes. In addition, no matter which way I place the new motor into the housing unit, the holes won't match up. What am I missing? Local appliance repair shops haven;t been able to figure it out either. Is there a housing unit for the new motor that I can purchase?

Call APP on Monday and give them both your model number and serial number and ask them to check to see if there are different versions of your machine that have different motors. The variations are identified by the serial number.

We are not associated with the parts operations of APP so if you need more help please post the model and serial number and let us know what happened when you contacted APP
