Had a problem with timer so I changed it ,problem solved. I changed the lid switch also. But whenever the washer gets to the spin cycle it spins very slowly , but if I open the lid and close it it spins normally every time . Any ideas?

Well this is sort of a mystery, but try changing out the thrust bearing, this part here and see if your spin problem is fixed. Part number: AP4009132

Is there a way I can check if the thrust bearing is working properly? I hate to keep dumping more money into this machine. The strange part is it spins fine if you open the lid and close it. Just when it is supposed to start initially in seems to spin slow.

Yes, you can check the thrust bearing, the service manual here will show you how. http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16023083.pdfOrdinarily I would think that the lid switch is the problem, but since you say it does turn slowly on the first try I tend to discount it. You can check it out by by-passing it and seeing if the problem goes away. If it does, then change out the lid switch. Your prolem is puzzling, so we are anxious to see what you come up with. If you order parts from this site and they do not fix your problem, you may be able to return them. See the returns policy.
