Arrow Balance Ring clips are gone
Model Number: 110.20172001   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

I inherited this Kenmore washer #110.20172001 (it came with the building) Plugged it in and tried to wash a batch. It didn't seem to be spinning fast enough and sure enough, the clothes were still wet afterwards. After closer inspection I found the balancing ring to be detached from the basket. I opened up the machine and found that only three of the eight clips are there. I'm hoping that the ring being loose was slowing down the spin. Is it clip # AP3136071 or must I order the whole ring? Actually that might be worth it since the clips are $4.36 and the ring is $30.82. Should I be looking for other problems here or will getting the ring fastened again fix it? What other parts should I change since I'm in there? Tub gasket?
Thanks in advance...
