Default washer won't spin, buzzes
Model Number: LXR7144E   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer fills, agitates, but when doesn't drain or spin. It makes a buzzing sound with spin cycle. What could be the problem?

jmrodri,

What exactly is wrong with your washer? What is the complete model number of the washer?

Gene.

jhalbrooks,

Remove the cabinet, remove the pump and check if the motor will work on the spin cycle. Post you findings.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LXR7144EQ0

Thanks for responding so quickly. I tried the washer later in the day, and surprise it works. Go figure. I was able to do 4 loads. Not sure what happened but thankfully its working. Thanks again Julie
