hey there,

its been a while, i think that's a good thing... but i have another tech question. i am going to install a new hub and seal kit (r9900552) i just purchased from you guys and thought it included a Red 3M800 sealant. it doesn't. i have several other automotive sealants on hand and was wondering if they might work in its place.

1.permatex weatherstrip cement- waterproof, bonds metal, glass, and rubber
2.permatex high-temp rtv silicone- gasket maker
3.ruscoe permanent sealer- flexible sealer for aluminum, wood, concrete, glass, rubber, steel, and ceramics

if these don't sound quite right, is there another you would suggest? something i can get from the local NAPA or Do-it Best store? i appreciate the help.

I know it is expensive, but I would say go with the correct stuff,

Part number: AP4035752
Part number: AP4035752

You might call APP or other parts suppliers and see if they have a substitute, but if Maytag says this is what to use I would use.

Sorry not to have a cost saving solution.
