Unhappy washer fills, timer doesn't advance, nor does it agitate, spin, or drain
Model Number: VVXR1040T2WB   Brand: Hotpoint   Age: More than 10 years

My washer will fill with water but after that it is silent, the timer doesn't advance, it doesn't agitate, spin, or drain the water, what could be wrong with it? the machine is about 12 years old, I used to be able to "wiggle" the wires and make sure that everything was connected and that would fix the problem, this time I wasn't so lucky. Help!!!!!

Default

found the problem, after checking the continuity to the motor, which checked out fine, we pulled the circuit/control board, and it had a bad solder point on one of the pins, we resoldered the pin and the washer now works. thought someone might be interested in the outcome of this
