Janet,

I have not had the problem but have helped owners on other forums with troubleshooting and replacing the water inlet valve assembly on the FAV6800A machine my machine model also and the FAV9800A the LCD display model.

Good job on checking/pulling the washer water inlet screens at the washer inlet valve assembly.

If they are clear and you have water flow out of the washer hose’s we need to determine why the valve is not operating. There is a work around if the other inlet valve is operating but a few questions first.

Do you use both Cold and Hot water for your washer loads?

What water fill is not working Cold, Hot or both?

I would also have you enter service mod and turn the water valves to check their operation. But let’s have a little feedback first on the questions above

If it came down to changing out the water valve assembly are you or someone up for a little DIY work?
