Hi! I am encountering problem on my washer, Brand Roper, Model RAX4232PQ0. I was doing laundry when at the middle of my job I heard a cracking sound on my unit. I opened the lid cover and noted that the agitator(middle part that spin) is no longer spinning. The unit still pump out water. I tried to reduced the load and tried to start again. But as close down the lid cover, same noise occured and no there's no spinning. I tried to open the unit and examine the Lid Switch. Physically, no adverse damages is noticiable on the switch. My question is: How will I know aside by physical examination that the lid switch is OK or NOT? I read some section that there might be possibilities that motor coupler is broken, belt may be broken, clutch been worn out or transmission or drive motor is defective. Please, please need some help. Thanks a lot.

Check and see if it will agitate. If not, the coupler probably failed and you can replace it and get this machine going again.
